Can Sesam be used to analyze data from SAP?
SAP stores data in normal industry standard database format (such as Oracle, MS SQL Server). The difficulty analyzing SAP data is the complexity of a SAP database, which consists of thousands of different tables. However, users who have knowledge of which tables to use can order extracts from these tables, and such extracts can be imported into SESAM in a normal way.
In version 7.2 of SESAM a scripting interface can be provided (as an option). This interface makes it possible to automize import from specific standard accounting systems. In collaboration with the Swedish tax authority Intracom has created import scripts for a number of Swedish standard packages.
