Sesam can import the DBF format automatically (in Analysis). DBF is an industry standard format and many applications allows export to the DBF format. This means that the capability to import DBF's  covers other formats as well. Examples of applications which can export to DBF is Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel.

In version 7.2 of SESAM a scripting interface can be provided (as an option). This interface makes it possible to automize import from specific standard accounting systems. In collaboration with the Swedish tax authority Intracom has created import scripts for a number of Swedish standard packages. 

Using the scripting capability mentioned above SESAM's import capabilities can be extended to virtually any format.
