What is the normal training time for a Sesam user?
SESAM is unique among computer audit tools in the sense that it is proven that it can be spread to all auditors - giving a complete audit community access to high-end analysis functionality. The short training time needed makes SESAM quick and easy to implement.
Experience from implementing SESAM for a number of user groups in Europe, USA and Africa tells that a normal training time for a user to use Sesam Analysis in the audit work is a few days. However, there are examples of users requiring some more time to get up to speed, as well as examples of users who have started to use SESAM completely without training. The need for training is depending on the user's interest for using IT tools and the experience of using such tools.
Sesam Conversion is slightly more complicated to use than Analysis, and normally it is relevant to provide a training for 1-2 weeks for Conversion users.
The split into two applications (Analysis and Conversion) enables a customer to train all auditors in using Analysis and a few users for Conversion. The Conversion users would then serve the rest of the Sesam users witn conversion of data files.
